![]() We all know Oprah is a huge fan of the iPad. In June, she gave her O Magazine staffers $10,000 and an iPad to celebrate the magazine's 10th anniversary. And on Tuesday, she shared her fondness of the device at the annual American Magazine Conference. She credited it for keeping her up to date with what is going on in the world and keeping her entertained while on the treadmill. She gave us a peak into some of her favorite apps for news, entertainment and the ones that help her express her creative side. Check them out below and then share with us some of your favorite apps that you use to keep you entertained and keep you abreast with today’s news. APPY FRIDAY! 1 Comment Well, not YOU per se, but the 300 audience members at Oprah's season premiere episode. Yes- Ms. Winfrey has done it again, outdoing her own 'you get a car' trick from season 19, and started her 25th and final season with a bang. She is taking her most loyal viewers on an 8 day, 7 night trip down under to Sydney Australia. Along with this "small" token of appreciation, she is also giving each audience member a Motorola Defy smartphone to capture their experiences with. What makes this smartphone so special that it gets the opportunity to travel with Lady O? The Defy is actually an updated version of the Motorola i1, with a sleeker look. It has 5 megapixels and is water resistant so you can take picture taking to the next level... below sea level. It is also dust-proof with a scratch resistant large 3.7 inch touch screen. It is running Android 2.1 with flash support and 2 gigs of built-in memory. I'd say, overall, Oprah picked a pretty decent travel companion for her and her audience members. I do, however, suggest that Oprah bring along some ear plugs for the ride. This group has already proven they can be a rowdy bunch: |
